About Head Holiday

Head Holiday is a smartphone app (and website) that uses 360 degree videos to change your mood, entertain you, and give you lots of travel ideas.

Created by a crack team of cultural producers, videographers and travellers, Head Holiday mixes elements of environmental psychology, slow cinema and travel vlogging.

Viewers can fly through the UAE, have lunch with guinea pigs in Yorkshire, swim in a Slovenian lake or ride around Europe on an electric scooter, or just chill in the parks of Copenhagen – all from the comfort of their sofa.

Where did Head Holiday come from?

Head Holiday was developed by Live Cinema UK, and has been publicly funded by Innovate UK (the UK Government’s innovation agency).

The app is a response to some of the travel restrictions we’re currently experiencing, as well as the impact on our mental health.

You’ll find experiences in the app that could work as travel inspiration for your future trips, some extra entertainment, or just a little pick-me-up.

How do I try Head Holiday?

At the moment, Head Holiday is only available to a very limited number of beta testers who signed up to help us develop it.

We aim to roll out the app in 2021, so sign up here for news about when it’s going to be widely available.
